Regular Monthly Meeting

Featured Presentation:

SQL Engine internals.

Chris Bell, Founder / Lead SQL Consultant WaterOx Consulting

Knowing how SQL Server works internally allows you to identify performance bottlenecks in your SQL Server environment quickly. We will discuss SQL's three primary components, along with mentioning an oft overlooked fourth one, and how they cooperate to work with your data. As we wade deeper through the details of each component, you will learn how, and why, certain practices ultimately impact the performance of your system.

About Chris:
Chris offers a unique view of how we live and work with data both now and as we head into the future. Having braved many roles, lifecycles, and battles in the IT world, he has honed his DBA (Database Administration or Do 'Bout Anything) skills in Information Systems and development, focusing on SQL Server. Currently, he serves as the CEO and Lead Consultant for his company, WaterOx Consulting, while remaining the lead DBA at The Motley Fool. You can keep up with Chris' thoughts and technical community activities at WaterOxConsulting.com.
